Exploring the museums of Paris alone can be a daunting experience, but our expert art history guides are on hand to make your visit a breeze – to introduce you to some of the most highly acclaimed works of art in the world, to take you deep into their history, but also to take you away from the tourist track. Our museums tours are lead solely by accredited guides with an abundance of knowledge, who give you the chance to explore some of the most breathtaking exhibitions in the world with a private, personable and approachable guide.
Masterpieces or hidden gems, paintings or sculptures, art or antiquities - on our Louvre private tour, it's all up to you! Accompanied by one of our expert guides, you'll get to enjoy the Louvre in your own way, at your own pace, without having to deal with groups of any kind.
Looking for something a little more customized to your personal interests than the typical Louvre group tour? Pas de probleme! If there’s a particular section of the museum you’d prefer to focus on, be sure to ask—after all when you take a private tour with Localers, the visitor is always in the driver’s seat. By the time you’re finished you’ll wonder how a museum visit could’ve possibly been this much fun!
First time at the Louvre and you want to get a taste of everything? In that case, your front row seat to the show begins in the Denon wing of the Louvre where you’ll meet the Italian Renaissance maestros including Botticelli, Fra Angelico, and bien sûr our old friend Leonardo Da Vinci. During act II, the French masters take their place in the limelight. While you’ll certainly take ample time to analyze the masterworks, your guide will also take a moment here and there to introduce some of the lesser-known gems along the way. Let’s broaden those horizons!
Also included in this tour is a look at the Greek and Roman sculpture sections of the museum, the breathtaking Egyptian section (one of the world's largest), the newly opened Islamic art section, the Medieval Louvre, and the ostentatious Napoleon III apartments.
This tour excludes entry to temporary exhibitions - Please contact us for specific requests.
Please note that due to museums loaning works or collections to other museums, Localers cannot guarantee that every work listed on our website will be on display. We try our best to notify our clients when a work they have requested will not be available for their viewing.
Our skip-the-line tickets give priority access to the museum, however, please note that due to the Vigipirate Plan (increased security measures), there may be a waiting period at the security checkpoint at the entrance to the museum.
