Highlights
We invite you to put on your best detective's apprentice's hat and uncover some of the most infamous stories of counterfeiting, burglary and murders from the 19th and 20th centuries. Your guided investigation will take you through the 9th, 2nd and 1st arrondissements whose streets set the stage for some of the most notorious and chill-inducing events as well as quirky stories; did you know a crocodile was once found in Paris’ sewers?
Throughout the tour, you will not only discover Paris' criminal past but also find out how the press and works of fiction used these true stories and reinvented them and how they shaped Paris' police with the development of dog squads and forensic science.
